I have developed lifelong relationships with many Amish and Mennonite people. The Amish are devoted to family, church and community, and take tremendous pride in their homes, farms and work. Very few outsiders have been welcomed into the Amish community as I have. Today, I enjoy bringing Amish crafts and products to New England. It is part of the Amish religion to take pride in their work. Most people who come to look at or purchase the wooden outdoor furniture can't believe how well made and substantial it is for the price. Because the Amish do not believe in insurance, own farms that were paid for three hundred years ago and don't drive cars, they can keep their prices reasonable. All Amish-made outdoor furniture is made of weather resistant, environmentally and food safe southern yellow pine, assembled using heavy bolts and screws for many years of enjoyment.
